FAQs

What all do I need to pack?

Apart from clothes, you’ll need to bring bedding and toiletries (and towels) and any sort of outdoor gear you’d want; good shoes for a hike, flashlight and maybe an umbrella as well. You’re also welcome to bring any of your own games you’d want to play! Be sure to connect with folks over on the discord to see what everyone else is looking to play!

How accessible is camp?

The Y camp is on a bit of an incline, and is spread out - and the main hall, dining hall and cabins have some distance between them. The paths between these spaces, and the entrances to the main halls and dining hall are wheelchair friendly - and we have identified a number of cabins that will be easier to get around in if you are using a wheelchair.

Similarly, fireworks, firearms and the like are also prohibited.

What about getting hurt?

Is Camp ReFresh for folks who don’t have kids?

Of course! Camp ReFresh is for everyone - but we get why you’d ask the question. Our focus on having family friendly programming is a huge benefit for all adults - we’ve all been in spaces where a kid isn’t having a good time and is bored and it’s miserable for everyone; the kid, their adults, and everyone else in the room.

In addition, we’re setting spaces where kids aren’t allowed - if you didn’t come with kids, you won’t be in the same lodging as kids, and you’ll have a dedicated gaming space where the under 18 crowd can’t go.
