Interactive Options
You follow a tunnel in the back of the workshop and emerge in the abandoned fort at the edge of town.  It is dusk, and long shadows stretch across the courtyard, created in part, by large iron works, in various states of assembly.

There's bound to be some clues here.  Where do you start searching?
Poke around in the iron structures.
Each party member rolls + Perception.

There's a lot of heavy armor - something that might be assembled to become a giant automaton.

If any player rolls above a 15, you notice something - a hammered bit of metal that would work to defend you. Each player adds 1 to your fight skill.

You hear the sound of banging coming from a workshop.
There's a lantern lit upstairs?
Each party member rolls + Luck

You creep your way upstairs, listening for any signs of conversation. There's no one there, but you see blueprints designed to make a giant mechanical man. 

If any player rolled above a 15 on the check, you find a set of lenses, giving you a plus one to your Perception.

Look in some of the rooms adjacent to the courtyard.
Each party member rolls + Pesuade

Poking in the rooms around the courtyard, you come across a door leading further in.  You hear scratchy, robotic voices from inside - they say "We need to get started on assembling the core for the automaton!"  A box shifts, and the robot says "Who is there?" 

If a player rolled above a 15 they make a passable robot answer, and the robot says "Check the top box".  Inside the box you find some lucky dice - add a 1 to your luck
